This privacy policy applies to the website ungeniert.org, to the registration and ticket system at event.ungeniert.org and to the Ungeniert newsletter.
The essentials
- ungeniert.org uses no cookies and no tracking. We use no analytics tools, no advertising pixels and no embedded third-party services.
- We only process data where you actively give it to us: when registering for our events, for the newsletter and when you write to us.
- Your questionnaire answers are read only by members of our team. We do not pass them on.
This website (ungeniert.org)
ungeniert.org is a static website. When you visit it, the web server processes technically necessary connection data (IP address, time, page requested, browser type) in order to deliver the page. PRÜFEN: hosting provider, server location and whether/how long server logs are stored. No cookies are set and no usage profiles are created.
Legal basis: legitimate interest in the secure and stable operation of the website (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR).
Registration system and tickets (event.ungeniert.org)
To take part in Ungeniert you register once. In doing so we process:
- email address (for the magic link and all emails about your participation)
- name, date of birth (age check, minimum age 21), details about you from the questionnaire
- a photo of you PRÜFEN: purpose of the photo – identification at the door?
- your questionnaire answers on consent, boundaries and expectations
- the status of your registration (e.g. under review, approved, declined) and your attendance at previous events
- when buying a ticket: order data, payment status and the transaction number from our payment provider
- where applicable, notes by our team and the awareness team on incidents relevant to the safety of our guests
Purpose: checking whether you and our community are a good match; compiling the guest list; ticket processing; entry control; protecting the safety and wellbeing of all guests.
Legal basis: performance of a contract or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR) and our legitimate interest in a protected space for our guests (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR). Where questionnaire answers allow conclusions about your sex life or sexual orientation, we process them on the basis of your explicit consent (Art. 9(2)(a) GDPR), which you give during registration. PRÜFEN: is there a consent text in the registration system?
Payment: Payments are processed by the payment service provider Stripe (Stripe Payments Europe, Ltd., Dublin, Ireland). Payment data such as card numbers are entered directly with Stripe and are not stored by us; we only receive the payment status and a transaction number. Stripe’s privacy policy: stripe.com/privacy.
Retention: Your registration remains in place for as long as you want to attend our events, so you don’t have to register again. You can request deletion at any time. We keep booking and payment data for seven years in line with tax-law retention obligations. PRÜFEN: define specific deletion periods – according to the current project decision nothing is deleted automatically.
Recipients: members of our team (registration review, entry, awareness), Stripe (payment), our email delivery service for system emails PRÜFEN: which service?, hosting provider of the registration system [PRÜFEN].

Legal basis: legitimate interest in answering your request (Art. 6(1)(f) GDPR) or pre-contractual measures (Art. 6(1)(b) GDPR).
